Officer Rick Cook

Patrolman Rick Cook has been with the Dexter Police Department for two years, with a total of 18 years in law enforcement. He began his career with Bernie PD as a reserve and then worked as Chief Deputy with the Stoddard County Sheriff's Office. Cook resides in Bernie and has one son, Chad. He is a SEMO State Law Enforcement Academy grad and a graduate of the Advanced Law Enforcement Academy in St. Charles. He is a D.A.R.E. instructor and has received Office of Sheriff training. He has also attended Jail Administrator training, Hostage Negotiator training, Interview and Interrogation training and has served as acting sheriff and acting coroner. He has also served as Chairman of the Child Fatality Board and is a former Major Case Squad member and a member of the MO Deputy Sheriff's Assn.
